Quick note to update you

We are in Guangzhou at the Garden Hotel in room 1326. It was a nightmare of a trip to get here. Will post on it later. As far as the Garden, it's definitely a suite for my fellow ASIA watchers. Livingroom and Bedroom. Very very nice. They give you a complementary baby powder and baby wash "Only for adoptive families." LOL It is very reminisant of the White Swan the first time I visited only nicer. I mean the water is that same green bottle, shopa everywhere downstairs. We are getting ready to take our first taxi ride to Shamian Island. It was just trashed today. Barely recognizable to those who have been there. Even the shopping entrance to the Victory is GONE!! Don't let anyone fool you... It's as bad as they say. We had to stop on the street to be let out to walk through sewer and muck to get through to the other side where the medical exam was. Nasty. I will try to take some photos tonight while we are there. The White Swan still stands as a beacon of what the Island was before all the construction. I will post more later if I can. If not, tomorrow afternoon during nap time. :o)*
