Not just a smile... but an outright laugh!!! This picture was taken on January 5th, 2010. Yes, yesterday. This is the first time I have ever seen a picture of her happy. All the other pictures I have, and that's about 30, have her either frowning or expressionless. I had to cry in seeing it as it gave my heart such joy to see.
The letter from the visiting family said that they got to meet her in her kindergarten class. They said "She is very active, happy, loves to dance, sing and colors very well inside the lines." The director told them she is doing very well adn that she had dressed up and performed in their 60th anniversary celebration. They were shown a picture from this event. Maggie was handed a red pretend flute and she stood up and pretended to play it for them. Then the entire closs performed a little show for them and they said "She was quite good" and that she definitely loves to sing and dance. They described her as adorable and spunky. I had asked them about size to which they responded that she is a little on the shorter side of an average 5yo.
With the huge snow suit she is wearing in the photo she looks very big. But I have heard too many stories and experienced too much to be fooled. Here are a couple of more of my big girl!! :o)*
She is beautiful and has a beautiful smile.
