We received our first donation today. The person who gave it doesn't really know us. But I had given them our website to see a picture of Maggie and it resulted in them making the first donation. It wasn't my intention for them to do anything other than look at our precious girl. I have given my website address to many people. I am not posting it publicly this time like I did when we were adopting Mathew. Those of you close to me know why. And if you don't and are wondering you can email me privately and I will remind you. :o)
I guess my biggest surprise in having this person donate to us, besides not knowing us is that they are pulling funds together themselves for their own adoption. I mean, I know I do stuff like that all the time, but only because I have learned through fundraising myself that every little bit counts and it all adds up.
I just wanted to post about this to say thank you to them publicly to show my appreciation. The first donation is the first step toward the money we need. It's what gets the ball rolling. Since I don't have their permission to post their names I will simply say THANK YOU!! IT WAS GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!
